My impressions of various geographical regions – impressions of the land-- Its people are all a part of “my maps”. ---I’m influenced by current events and history which determine my selection of a region, country, city or state.

My series began with NJ and depicted my commute along highway 21 on my way to Rutgers University-Newark. Initially, I immersed myself with the notion of NJ –my birth place-contemplating its outline, size and relationship to the world – slowly adding other geographical regions as they popped into the news or caught my attention in someway. Italy, Texas. Florida, Mexico among others as the series continued.
